She represents the second generation of weavers in her family, having learned the craft at the age of 19 from her mother. Since then, she has mastered the loin loom, a traditional backstrap loom that has shaped Naga weaving for centuries. Her design showcases carefully curated diamond motifs, inspired by traditional Sangtam shawls and thoughtfully reimagined for modern textiles. These diamonds are more than decorative—they symbolise protection, balance, and continuity, holding deep cultural significance for her community. The cushion cover features a striking palette of red, black, and ivory: red for vitality and courage, black for strength and the mysteries of life, and ivory for purity, peace, and harmony. Handmade tassels add movement and texture, enhancing the tactile and visual appeal of the piece.
