Veindovi — The Chakhesang Weave draws inspiration from the rich textile traditions of the Chakhesang community of Nagaland.

Chakhesang women have traditionally been skilled weavers, creating textiles on the loin loom and passing weaving knowledge from generation to generation. Their textiles are recognised for distinctive geometric compositions, structured bands and carefully considered colour combinations.

Veindovi translates this traditional textile language into a contemporary table runner. Its crisp ivory ground, bold red and black stripes, fine linear detailing and hand-finished tassels create a striking balance between the graphic character of Naga weaving and modern table design.

The name Veindovi is retained for this piece, connecting the contemporary object to its Chakhesang origin.
