Rong Ghor

They called it the Rong Ghor

The House of Entertainment, where the Ahom kings gathered to witness games, music, and the grand theatre of life itself. More than stone and mortar, it was a stage of drama, celebration, and spectacle, where every gathering became a memory etched into time.

This piece draws from that spirit — the geometry of stars mirrored in its motifs, a reminder that even in the vastness of night, stories unfold under the same cosmic canopy. The deep blue base speaks of twilight skies, while the radiant accents gleam like stars, setting the stage for grandeur. It is not just design — it is heritage meeting imagination, drama woven into thread, and elegance shaped for the modern gaze. A starry ode to Ahom legacy, ready to bring both depth and brilliance into your space.

A striking blend of print and intricate hand embroidery, this piece is a true showcase of craftsmanship. Four luxurious, thick tassels with zari ties adorn the corners, adding a festive and elegant touch. The embroidery features delicate light-blue zari boxes, accentuated with French knots that bring depth and texture. Rich zardozi work paired with Ari embroidery on slub creates a stunning interplay of shimmer and detail, bringing the motif to life.

Finished with a YKK zip matching the base colour. The design on the reverse allows you to style the cushion in multiple ways, adding versatility.

Disclaimer

Our cushion covers are crafted in cotton-silk, a natural blend known for its elegant sheen and soft hand feel. To support the delicate embroidery, the fabric is stabilized with traditional pasting techniques. As a result, there maybe slight creasing or fold lines may appear, especially when stored.

This is not a defect but an inherent characteristic of cotton-silk textiles, like the natural slubs in raw silk or irregularities in handwoven fabrics. A light steam or gentle press will refresh the surface and restore its smoothness.
These variations are part of the fabric’s unique charm and authenticity, making each piece truly one of a kind.

Note: While we do our best to show you accurate colors, please understand that the fabric colour you receive may have slight variation. This is because of differences in monitor settings.
