Moharani

Born of grace and strength, Moharani is a celebration of Assam’s royal spirit. Woven in Eri silk, fondly called “Ahimsa” or “Peace Silk,” it embodies compassion and elegance — for this silk is drawn only after the silkworm has completed its journey, allowing life to flourish unharmed. Rooted in the heart of Assam and Meghalaya, Eri weaving carries forward a tradition as timeless as the queens who once adorned its splendour.

In its natural undyed tone, Moharani radiates quiet nobility. The Khingkhap motif, once reserved for the royal Ahom queens, unfolds in bright pink threads, depicting the lion — symbol of courage, power, and regal grace. Framed with a delicate pink piping, it mirrors the poise of a queen: soft in presence, yet commanding in spirit.
Handwoven by Assamese artisans, Moharani is not just a cushion cover — it is an ode to the women of royalty, to their strength wrapped in serenity, and to the enduring beauty of Assam’s textile heritage.
